The following are the six areas which we look after as a charity, with
the aim of improving the conditions and general life style.
Centrul de Plasament Orphanage
This orphanage is located in the small town of Beius 100 miles east
of the Hungarian border. Centrul de Plasament (also known as Casa De
Copii (House of Children ), has over 165 children in the orphanage from
the age of 4 years to 20 years. We are the main source of help to this
orphanage.
General Hospital, Arad
This hospital is situated in Arad, a large town which is a two hour
drive from Beius and provides care for babies suffering a range of illnesses,
many underweight and malnourished.
The Abandoned Babies
Ward
This is a special ward in the local hospital in Beius and it is very
depressing to see the underdeveloped and underweight babies on this
ward.
The Good Samaritan
Project
This project is run by Adrian Ciorna and his mother, a Romanian Christian
family, who provide accommodation and arrange employment for older children.
Many of whom have once lived in the orphanage and are now living on
the streets.
General Hospital, Beius
This very old hospital is the main medical source for the town and its
hinterland. Conditions within it have been described by all the Aid
Team as being from the Victorian age.
George & Sue Viditz,
Hodas, Salard
Hodas is a small village of approximately 800 residents situated in
a remote area approximately two hours drive from Beius. Living conditions
are very primitive with dirt track roads and everyone is solely dependent
on the land for their continuing existence. George and Sue, a minister
and nurse respectively, provide pastoral and medical care here.
Ramona, General Practitioner,
Volvizi
We are now helping a newly qualified GP to set up a practise within
the area of Volvizi. She is the only female GP in the area and has a
large number of people to care for with little resources.
